Despite facing several hurdles, she kept her words and bifurcated Andhra Pradesh while knowing well that Congress would be wiped out of Seemandhra due to her decision.
Ponnala alleged that TRS came to power by exploiting the sentiments of people of Telangana. However, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao completely ignored the people's welfare after coming to power, he alleged.
Later, all the Congress leaders went to Gun Park and paid floral tributes to martyrs at Telangana Martyrs' Memorial.
