VHR's dharna today against LA Bill
Hyderabad, Feb 20 (INN): Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao will lead a massive dharna on Saturday in protest against the proposed Land Acquisition Bill
Speaking to media persons at Gun Park here on Friday, VHR informed that dharna would be organised at Dharna Chowk near Indira Park on Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM.
He said all the leaders of Telangana Congress, including TPCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah, have been invited to participate in the dharna agitation. He said that the Congress party would also oppose the Bill in the forthcoming session of Parliament beginning from February 23.
VHR said that the proposed law would make all agricultural lands prone to acquisition. He alleged that the Act aimed at taking away the lands of farmers to benefit the realtors.
