TS Cong condemns restrictions on media Hyderabad, Feb 20 (INN): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah has strongly condemned the State Government's decision to ban the entry of media personnel into the State Secretariat.
Speaking to media persons at Gun Park here on Friday, Ponnala said media has played a major role in the formation of Telangana State and by imposing restrictions on its entry into the Secretariat, Chief Minister K Chandrahshekar Rao is trying to insult the entire media fraternity.
He alleged that KCR was trying to prevent media from exposing his failures. He said that the Chief Minister appears to be angry with the media for continuously exposing his failures.
Instead of taking corrective steps, KCR has is now trying to target media by imposing restrictions on their movement. Ponnala said that the Congress party would launch a strong protest against the government's move.
