Engineering student killed as bus hits his bike
VIJAYAWADA: A 19-year-old engineering student was killed in a road accident at Gosala near here. According to police, K R Stephen, a resident of Ganguru studying engineering second year at MVR Engineering College, Paritala, was on his way home at 8 am when the accident occurred. At Benz Circle when a metro APSRTC bus knocked him down.
In fact, Stephen was just a few yards away from his house when the tragedy took place. The APSRTC bus was overtaking a lorry and as Stephen was on the right side, the driver of the bus noticed him too late. The bus hit the bike and Stephen fell on the road and came under the front tyres of the bus, losing life on the spot.
