Jagan's Rythu Yatra only to fool people
ANANTAPUR: Ministers Ravela Kishore Babu and Paritala Sunitha flayed YSRC president Jaganmohan Reddy for his proposed Rythu Bharosa Yatra, commenced from Anantapur district today.
The ministers, who participated in an awareness programme on 'Chandranna Sankshema Palana', criticized Jagan for taking up another yatra to hoodwink the people.
Kishore Babu alleged that the YSRC leader, who had amassed wealth to the tune of `1 lakh crore, is trying to fool people with his Rythu Bharosa Yatra. He asked Jagan to give to the government the huge wealth which he had earned through illegal activities, for the farmers' debt redemption scheme.
Sunitha asked how Jagan would undertake a tour in Anantapur district where his father the late YS Rajasekhar Reddy got so many innocent people murdered. She alleged that Jagan's father had killed many people, including her husband Paritala Ravindra. How can Jagan console farmers when he had opposed the debt redemption scheme, she questioned.
During the regime of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, many farmers committed suicide in Anantapur district, she said. Jagan is conducting the yatra to be in the limelight as many YSRC leaders are leaving the party, she said.
Meanwhile, Anantapur Urban MLA V Prabhakar Choudhary, addressing a press conference at Anantapur on Saturday, asked Jagan to give clarification on the CBI's finding about the benamis of Jagan, who had availed `900 crore loans by mortgaging 8,844 acres acquired from farmers.
Jagan should clarify on handing over 1 lakh acres to his supporters by misusing his father's position. Due to his misdeeds, former minister Geetha Reddy and IAS officer Sri Lakshmi have become accused, he said.
