Probe sought into NRI Sriram's death VIJAYAWADA: Anila, wife of an NRI Veeragandham Sriram, has demanded that the police investigate the death of her husband on Feb 10 in a hotel room in the city. She wanted the police to arrest the suspects and take action against them in accordance with the law.
Speaking to newsmen here, she alleged that her husband's death was a cold-blooded murder, which happened in a hotel in Vijayawada on Feb 10. She alleged that her husband's family members were the main culprits and they committed the crime for his money. She said the police were not showing any interest in investigating the case.
Anila said Sriram wanted to adopt a child as they were issueless and his family members opposed the decision fearing that the property would go to the child. Sriram owned property worth several hundreds of crores of rupees, she added.
'They are responsible for my husband's death and they made it look like a case of suicide. My husband is not so weak-minded to commit suicide,' she said.
However, DCP (Admin) GVG Ashok Kumar said that the case had not come to his notice as Satyanarayanapuram inspector could not be contacted despite several attempts.
