KCR announces 100 Cr for Yadagiri Gutta

Hyderabad, Feb 24 (INN): As part of the development of Yadagiri Gutta Temple in Nalgonda district, designs were shown to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao here on Tuesday morning.

Special Officer Yadagiri Gutta Temple G Kishan Rao, along with Stapathi Soundararajan, Architects Raj Expedith, Anand Sai and Jagan, have shown the designs. S. Narsinga Rao, Principal Secretary to CM and Bhupal Reddy, Special Secretary to CM were also present in the meeting.

The architects and Stapathi told the Chief Minister that the temple design would have a look like of a hundred year old temple and like a monument. They told that the design have lot of sculpture work and the way leading to the temple would have a feeling of passing through a cave.

The Chief Minister on reviewing the design suggested that the whole thing should be in tune with 'Agama shastra'. He also suggested them to study the temples like Amritsar and Aksharadam. He suggested that there should be centralised parking and provision for two way traffic to go to the hill and come down. Like in Tirumala, there should be a shopping complex to enable pilgrims for shopping.

The Chief Minister also said that the Yadagiri Gutta Urban Development Authority would be formed with the special officer G Kishan Rao as its chief. Both the Hill and the land development administration will form part of Urban Development Authority. There would also be a hereditary trust. Rs. 100 Crores would be allocated in this years budget, said the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister also suggested that there should be adequate place for the pilgrims to rest and sufficient number of cottages should be built. There should also be provision for the pilgrims to stay overnight as it has been a customary tradition. He also suggested that there should be provision for place for performing traditional 'Vratham' on a mass scale. Provision for Yagasala, Kalyana Mandapam and a hall for discourses has also been suggested. The 10 plus acres of land on the hill should have temple premises in about 5 acres and the remaining area should be designed for Kalyana Mandapam, Yagasala and Centre for discourses.

KCR said that he would visit Yadagiri Gutta Temple on Wednesday for further discussions and review of the designs. He will also present 'Pattu Vastrams' to Lord Narsimha Swamy as part of Brahmotsavams on 27th February.
