UGAT condemns Constituency politicisation Hyderabad: United Graduates Association of Telangana president Dr Mohammed Niyaz Ahmed Khan has strongly condemned the politicisation of Graduates Constituency of Telangana State Legislative Council.
Speaking to media persons after filing his nomination for the Mahabubnagar-Ranga Reddy-Hyderabad Graduates constituency here on Tuesday, Niyaz Ahmed Khan said that the concept of Graduate's constituencies was introduced to involve common graduates in the law making process. However, he said that even the Graduates Constituencies has been politicised and political parties have started nominating their candidates in the elections. Unlike regular constituencies, the member representing Graduates Constituency in the Legislative Council should have addressed the concerns of graduates, like higher education and employment. However, it was not done and the position was used to promote political agenda.
Niyaz Ahmed Khan alleged that the entire system has been diluted and deteriorated. He expressed confidence that he would win the elections and restore the real spirit of Graduates constituency.
