Uttam Kumar assumes charge as TPCC chief
Hyderabad: Huzurnagar MLA N Uttam Kumar Reddy assumed the charge as the new president of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee at Gandhi Bhavan here on Sunday. Madhira MLA Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka too assumed the charge as the new Working President.
Earlier, Uttam Kumar visited the residence of his predecessor Ponnala Lakshmaiah where he was joined by TPCC Vice-President Mohammed Ali Shabbir and the trio then proceeded to the residence of Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy. Later, Uttam Kumar Reddy came to Gandhi Bhavan in a colourful procession.
AICC Secretary RC Khuntia, CLP leader in Council D Srinivas, former Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy, legislators including Dr J Geetha Reddy, Greater Hyderabad Congress President Danam Nagender and other senior leaders were present in large numbers at Gandhi Bhavan.
