Congress MLA Sampath Kumar tenders apology
Hyderabad, March 9 (INN): Alampur MLA of Congress party A Sampath Kumar has tendered an apology for shouting slogans while the National Anthem was being played in the Telangana Legislative Assembly before the Governor's address on March 7.
Speaking in the House, Sampath Kumar clarified that he had full respect for the National Anthem and his behaviour was purely incidental. He said, as per the rules, no announcement was made in the House asking members to rise for the National Anthem and it was played without any intimation. He said he could not cause any disrespect to the National Anthem even in his imagination. He expressed sincere apologies for his behaviour.
