Jaipur power project to be ready by year end: Laxma Reddy Hyderabad, March 9 (INN): Both the units of 600 MW each of Jaipur power project in Srirampur area in Adilabad district are likely to be commissioned by this year end.
Replying to a question raised by MLC B Venkata Rao in Legislative Council during Question Hour here on Monday, Health Minister C Laxma Reddy informed that the Unit-I of 600 MW power plant is likely to be synchronised by November 2015 and the Unit-II (600 MW) by December this year. He said that the employment potential is likely to be of SCCL as per the Detailed Project Report (DPR) is 700, if Operation & Maintenance is carried out by the company. He said that the recruitment in Singareni Collieries Co Ltd follows the spirit of Presidential Order and applicable Rule of Reservation.
Reacting to the minister's reply, Venkat Rao appealed to the government to reserve all unskilled jobs for the local residents and also give them preference in semi-skilled and high-skilled jobs.
