TS Govt to streamline PDS soon Hyderabad, March 10 (INN): The Telangana Government will take all measures for the streamlining of Public Distribution system in the State.
Replying to a question raised by MLC V Gangadhar Goudna dn B Venkeswarlu during Question Hour in Legislative Council on Tuesday, Finance Minister Etala Rajender said that the process of rationalisation of Fair Price shops would be initiated after the complete distribution of Food Security Cards. He said that the decision to increase the number of Fair Price Shops would be taken based on the requirement. He said that the Chhattisgarh State has a good PDS model and the same would be replicated in Telangana.
The minister also assured that steps would be taken to prevent black marketing of PDS rice and other food grains.
