Sudha Murthy visits SImhachalam temple Visakhapatnam: Sudha Narayana Murthy, the founder chairperson of Infosys Foundation and Rajysabha member, visited the Sri Varaha Laxmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Simhachalam here on Saturday. She was welcomed with traditional rituals amid chanting of Vedic hymns.

She worshiped the deity and hugged the sacred Kappastambha, believed to fulfill devotees' wishes. She received blessings from temple priests and was honored with traditional attire and prasadam by the temple officials.
Sudha Murthy expressed her gratitude to the temple authorities for their hospitality and said she was delighted to have had the opportunity to worship the deity.

Later, she attended the Andhra University Alumni Association's annual gathering, "Waves 2025" which has begun with grandeur.
Sudha Murthy also visited the AU alumni association office and met the association's founding chairman, G.M. Rao. She emphasized the importance of alumni contributing to the university's development and suggested utilizing the knowledge of ancient manuscripts available at AU.
She then proceeded to the AU administration building, where she paid floral tribute to the statue of Kattamanchi Ramalinga Reddy, the university's founding vice-chancellor.
The event featured cultural performances that showcased Indian culture and traditions, including classical and folk dances. International students from AU also presented dances reflecting their respective cultures.
