President visits Tirumala Temple She was received with full temple honours on her arrival.
Tirumala: The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, visited the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala on Friday morning. She first visited Sri Bhu Varahaswamy Temple, following the traditional customs of the Tirumala kshetra.
The President was welcomed by TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, EO Anil Kumar Singhal, and Additional EO C.H. Venkayya Chowdary. The archakas offered Istikphal, a traditional welcome ceremony.
The President offered prayers to the Dwajasthambam and then had darshan of presiding deity of Sri Venkateswara Swamy. She was accompanied by State Minister for Endowments, Anam Ramnarayana Reddy.
Later, the President received Vedashirshavachanam at the Rangnayakula Mandapam. The Chairman and EO presented her with a picture of Sri Venkateswara, prasadam, and TTD's 2026 calendar and diaries.
TTD Board Members Panabaka Lakshmi, Janaki Devi, and Bhanu Prakash Reddy, CVSO Murali Krishna, and others attended the function. District Collector Venkateshwar, SP Subbarayudu and other district officials were also present.
Meanwhile, President Murmu's heartwarming gesture has left pilgrims beaming. She stopped her convoy at Rambaghicha Cottage and stepped out of car
ignoring security protocols. She interacted with devotees. She distributed chocolates to the thrilled devotees. The President's gesture won hearts of devotees., making her visit even more special for the pilgrims.
