Telangana Secretariat all set for inauguration

Hyderabad, April 28 (INN): All is set for the inauguration of the new Secretariat. It will be started on April 30 by the hands of chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. In this context, Minister Prashanth Reddy, DGP Anjani Kumar and CP CV Anand inspected the inauguration arrangements.

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao laid the foundation stone of the new secretariat on June 27, 2019. A new building has been constructed in the Indo-Persian style blended with modern touches. The domes built on the secretariat, similar to the state high court, and the national emblem built on the two domes stand as a special attraction. A total of 34 domes were installed; the domes in front and rear of the Secretariat being the tallest. A national emblem is installed on the dome which is about 165 feet high and can be seen even from a far distance.

A hydro-pneumatic system has been set up for the water supply. Adequate arrangements have been made to use the overhead tank only during emergencies. A sump has been set up to store rainwater. The Secretariat was made a guide for the priority of water conservation so that not even a drop of water falling on the building is wasted and it reaches the sump.

Two huge fountains were installed in the Secretariat premises. They are built of red sandstone with a height of 28 feet and a width of 58 feet. The building was designed as a blend of Hindu, Deccani and Kakatiya architectural styles. The domes were modelled on the styles of the Nizamabad Neelakanteswara Swamy Temple and Vanaparthi Rajaprasads of the Kakatiya period. The architectural style of the Salangpur Hanuman temple in Gujarat is also used in the domes. Officials said that all the tapadas, which look attractive on the outside, are made of red sandstone, while the central tower is made of sandstone specially brought from Dholpur in Rajasthan. It was designed by famous architects Dr Oscar and Ponni Concesao.

Telangana's new Secretariat complex stands as a testament to the region's cultural heritage and progress. The sprawling six-story facility, spread across eight acres, is surrounded by lush greenery, creating an environment that promotes a peaceful and harmonious lifestyle.

Designed in the Indo-Persian architectural style, the Secretariat features stunning domes that celebrate the region's cultural wealth. The compound hosts a Mandir, Masjid, and Church, symbolizing an interfaith gathering, demonstrating the state's commitment to religious harmony.

In addition to ample parking space and two eye-catching red sandstone fountains, the complex boasts a helipad that allows the Chief Minister and other VIPs to reach the Secretariat directly. This state-of-the-art facility has been named Dr BR Ambedkar's Secretariat, signifying Telangana's self-respect and pride.

The interiors of the Secretariat showcase modern facilities, with the Chief Minister's office and conference hall designed to facilitate efficient communication and decision-making. The facility also includes a VIP lounge, a cabinet meeting hall, and special desks for employees from various departments.

The dining hall within the Secretariat is furnished with contemporary amenities, while the latest design furniture adds to the overall aesthetic appeal. The entrance doors to the Chief Minister's Chamber are adorned with Bahubali designs and lion statues, further emphasizing Telangana's cultural richness.

Located on the bank of Hussainsagar Lake in the heart of Hyderabad, the new Secretariat complex is a visual treat, illuminated by electric lights that enhance its beauty and create an impressive landmark for the region.
