Visakhapatnam:; The City of Destiny is fast emerging as the major IT hub anong tier Two cities in the country. All major IT companies are lining up to locate their offices in Visakhapatnam.
Cognizant to Google, every firm will begin building its permanent campus within the next six months.

Cognizant, which has announced investments in Vishakhapatnam, is moving ahead as soon as the land is allocated. They have already leveled the allocated land, finalized the building design, selected the contractor, and will commence work on Friday.
Cognizant's CEO is coming specially for the campus groundbreaking ceremony, and the construction will be launched by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
The Chief Minister will also lay the foundation for 8 other companies along with Cognizant in Visakhapatnam.
Meanwhile Minister for Education and IT Nara Lokesh will formally inaugurate the temporary campus of the company that accommodates 1,000 people.
The state government allotted 21.31 acres to Cognizant at the Kapuluppada IT Hills in Visakhapatnam . The company plans to construct a world-class AI and Digital Transformation IT campus..
The Cognizant is going to invest invest Rs 1,583 crore to establish the IT campus in Visakhapatnam, which is expected to provide employment to 8,000 people. The proposed new campus will be constructed in three phases.
Until the first phase is completed, Cognizant will operate temporarily from the Mahati Fintech Building in Rushikonda IT Park, Hill-2. The center will focus on advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Digital Engineering, and Cloud Solutions.
Thee Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for the construction of new office buildings of eight other companies, including Tech Thammina, Satva Developers, Imaginnovate Tech Solutions India, Fluentgrid Limited, Motherson Technologies, Qorp Technosoft, ACN Healthcare RCM Services, and Nanrel Technologies.
These companies, including Cognizant, are set to invest around Rs 3,740 crore, creating employment opportunities for 41,700 people.
Later, the Chief Minister will review the development of the Visakha Economic Region. He will discuss the integrated development of the nine districts from Srikakulam to East Godavari, focusing on roads, railways, ports, logistics, and other infrastructure projects.
