AP invites investments in tourism sector Mumbai: AP Minister for Tourism Kandula Durgesh has called upon investors to explore opportunities in Andhra Pradesh's tourism sector. Speaking at the 24th Indian Association of Amusement Parks and Industries (IAAPI) Expo, Durgesh highlighted the state's potential for amusement parks, theme parks, water parks, and adventure zones.

He said Andhra Pradesh has accorded industrial status to tourism, with a new tourism policy (2024-29) offering incentives to investors.
The state offers opportunities for international-level theme parks, waterfront attractions, and adventure zones.
Durgesh assured investors of a conducive environment for business, citing improved infrastructure, including airport expansions and better transportation facilities.
The state government has simplified land allocation processes for hotels, theme parks, and resorts. Investments above ₹50 crore will be facilitated through SIPB.l, he said
Andhra Pradesh aims to become a premier tourist destination, leveraging its cultural heritage and natural beauty.
The state government has launched the "Swarnandhra Tourism Vision 2047" to achieve this goal.
The vision focuses on sustainable tourism growth, job creation, and economic development.
Durgesh urged investors to explore Andhra Pradesh's tourism potential, assuring them of government support.
He emphasised the state's commitment to developing world-class infrastructure and facilities.
"Andhra Pradesh is poised to become a major tourist hub, and we invite investors to be part of this growth story," Durgesh said.
The government has identified key areas for tourism development, including Amaravati, Visakhapatnam, and Tirupati.
Efforts are underway to improve connectivity, infrastructure, and services in these areas.The state government is also promoting eco-tourism and sustainable tourism practices, he said
