AP Dy CM launches 'Hanuman' Project to mitigate human-wildlife conflict Amaravati: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Minister Kandula Durgesh inaugurated the 'Hanuman' project, aimed at reducing human-wildlife conflict, at the APSP Battalion grounds in Mangalagiri. The project, launched on the occasion of World Wildlife Day, seeks to provide emergency response and assistance to people affected by wildlife attacks.

Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Kalyan emphasised the importance of co-existence with wildlife, stating that humans and animals share the same planet. He highlighted the project's objectives, including reducing human-wildlife conflict, providing compensation to those affected, and strengthening wildlife conservation efforts.
The 'Hanuman' project includes deployment of 100 vehicles for emergency response, establishment of 19 emergency response teams across the state, setting up of 7 emergency treatment and rehabilitation centers, and provision of GPS tracking systems for monitoring wildlife movement
Pawan Kalyan also announced that the government has paid ₹4 crore in compensation to those affected by wildlife attacks and is providing market-value-based compensation for crop damage. The government has also brought in Kunkee elephants from Karnataka to control wild elephant populations.
The Deputy Chief Minister praised the efforts of forest department officials and volunteers in conserving wildlife and thanked NGOs for their support. The event was marked by the presentation of appreciation certificates to officials, NGO representatives, and volunteers who contributed to wildlife conservation efforts.
