Two injured in gas tanker mishap Visakhapatnam, Aug 30 (INN): Two persons sustained injuries when a gas tanker turned turtle near bypass junction on National Highway No 5 at Anakapalle in Visakhapatnam district on Tuesday.
According to Anakapalle police, the gas tanker heading towards Visakhapatnam from Rajahmundry overturned near bypass junction at Anakapalle injuring the driver and cleaner of the tanker. Fortunately, a major mishap was averted as the gas in tanker was not leaked.
Following the accident, the traffic came to standstill on the national highway and it took lot of time for the police to clear the road. The police diverted traffic on other routes to ease congestion. Both the injured have been shifted to the hospital for treatment and they are said to be stable.
