ATA Convention planning meeting held

American Telugu Association [ATA] is gearing up to host ATA Convention in Chicago from July 1st-3rd, 2016 at the Rosemont Convention Center in Rosemont, IL with a huge fanfare drawing celebrities, dignitaries, VIPs and mounting number of attendees bolstered by the likelihood of Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao and Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu joining the legion of elected officials from the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to attend the convention - thus making it one of the largest and most gleefully anticipated convention that seeks to unveil the beauty, essence and spirit of Telugu cultural heritage.

The spirit and enthusiasm of the ATA Convention is escalating with palpable excitement among the large Telugu diaspora looking forward to the historic silver jubilee celebrations on the July 4th long weekend with a large contingent of artists, musicians, dancers and Tollywood actors to participate in the convention.

American Telugu Association [ATA] leaders are making concerted efforts to make this 3-days convention a historic wholesome family event on an unprecedented scale to showcase Telugu culture, art, music, dance, literary, religion, social economic, health and political forums surpassed only by great gourmet food, fashion shows, contemporary cinematic music and colorful dance presentations.

The convention is also features spiritual discourses and for the youth ATA is organizing youth-centric activities including a cruise on Lake Michigan.

At the planning meeting held in Aurora, IL on June 12, American Telugu Association team of leaders sat together to meticulously reviewed all the convention arrangements, contracts and logistics to coordinate a huge army of volunteers and number of committees each overseeing specific set of convention responsibilities.

Hanumanth Reddy, ATA Trustee, Chandrasekhar Reddy Palvai, Convention Convener, KK Reddy, Convention Director, Krishna Mushyam, Kamal Chimata, Coordinator along with all the key ATA Chairs and Co-Chairs examined all the prearrangements at micro level to ensure the convention is set in motion on a grand spectacular scale.

Sudhakar Perkari, ATA President and key ATA Trustees and Board members are working in close conjunction with the convention team leaders and Chairs.

The Silver Jubilee ATA Convention is expected to draw a huge deluge of attendees from all across the United States, Canada, India and other parts of the globe with a horde of print and electronic media from India and the U.S.
