Passenger feedback tree installed at Vizag airport Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam International Airport, operated by the Airports Authority of India, celebrated Yatri Suvidha Diwas ' 2026 with active participation from passengers, airline representatives, CISF personnel, concessionaires, and other stakeholders on Friday.
To enhance passenger awareness, CISF personnel presented informative and interactive skits highlighting passenger safety, security awareness, and responsible travel practices. The event also showcased Andhra Pradesh's cultural heritage through a display of local art by the Lepakshi group, which drew an encouraging response from passengers and visitors.
A Passenger Feedback Tree was installed in the terminal building to enable travellers to share suggestions. Officials said the initiative saw enthusiastic participation and provided a platform for direct passenger engagement to strengthen the airport's customer-focused approach.
Speaking on the occasion, Airport Director N. Purushottam said, 'Yatri Suvidha Diwas serves as an important platform to connect with our passengers, acknowledge the contributions of our frontline workforce and reaffirm our commitment towards delivering safe, seamless and world-class airport services. The overwhelming response on Monday reflects the collective commitment of the entire airport community towards service excellence and continuous improvement.'
Visakhapatnam International Airport has emerged as one of the fastest-growing airports in the country, serving nearly 30 lakh passengers annually. The airport said it is continuously enhancing infrastructure, technology adoption, accessibility, and sustainability initiatives.
The Airports Authority of India thanked passengers, stakeholders, airport partners, and the media for their support in making the event a success.
