NDA government restores AP's credibility among investors: CM

Tirupati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has stated that the NDA government started administration after treating the 2024 elections mandate as a responsibility entrusted by the people to rebuild the state. He said the government won the confidence of people over the last two years and remains committed to upholding that trust through continued good governance.

Addressing the "Two Years of Trust, Development and Welfare" public meeting held at Daminedu in Chandragiri constituency on Friday, the Chief Minister highlighted the welfare and development initiatives undertaken by the coalition government with the support of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.

He outlined the government's achievements in governance, welfare delivery, infrastructure, investments and economic development. The Chief Minister also acknowledged the consistent support extended by the Union Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing that Andhra Pradesh's progress has been strengthened through the Centre-State partnership.

He explained the achievements of the Double Engine Government over the past two years and cautioned people against political conspiracies aimed at hindering the state's development.
He reminded public representatives that they are servants of the people, not rulers and must remain accountable to citizens. 'Responding to our appeal to protect democracy and rebuild Andhra Pradesh, people delivered a historic verdict with 57 percent vote share and 164 seats. 'We viewed the 2024 result not as a victory but as a responsibility entrusted to us for rebuilding the state. We chose to work as servants of the people rather than rulers. When we assumed office, every sector was in crisis. Institutions had been weakened.

The destruction that began with the demolition of Praja Vedika ended with a debt burden of nearly Rs 10 lakh crore. Central schemes and irrigation projects were neglected, investors were driven away, the future of youth was compromised, and those who questioned the government were harassed.

Despite personal attacks and political persecution, we stood firm and worked for the people. We released seven White Papers to reveal the true condition of the state. The people responded with wisdom and elected a Double Engine Government to save Andhra Pradesh.Today, we have restored law and order, stabilized governance and rebuilt damaged systems.

"Delivering on Welfare and Governance CommitmentsThe Chief Minister said that Andhra Pradesh lost valuable opportunities between 2019 and 2024 and that the present government is systematically correcting the damage."We promised welfare, development and good governance, and we are delivering on those promises. Along with the Super Six commitments, we are implementing our manifesto in a time-bound manner.Under NTR Bharosa, pensions worth ovethis 65,000 crore have been distributed. Through Talliki Vandanam, we are supporting children's education. Under the Shakti scheme, women have benefited from 710 million free bus journeys.'

Through Annadata Sukhibhava, in partnership with the Union Government, farmers are receiving Rs 20,000 annually. Paddy procurement payments are being credited within 24 hours. Welfare is reaching all sections of society, including toddy tappers, stone workers, priests, imams and muezzins. We are enabling SCs, STs, BCs and other communities to generate electricity through subsidized rooftop solar systems. Through P4, we are working to improve living standards. Through the Sanjeevani initiative, we are strengthening education and healthcare. We have filled 15,941 teacher posts through Mega DSC and recruited 5,757 police constables. In just 23 months, we cleared employee duesrestoreRs 21,000 crore.

The Chief Minister said the government has restored Andhra Pradesh's credibility among investors."We are establishing 175 MSME parks across the state. Investors who left during the previous administration are returning. Through Speed of Doing Business reforms, approvals are being granted quickly and efficiently.Within just 36 days, approvals were granted for a fifth-generation fighter aircraft project at Puttaparthi. Rayalaseema is emerging as a horticulture hub and is attracting investments in space, drone and defence sectors.A Royal Enfield manufacturing unit is coming to Tirupati district. Gold mining operations are set to begin at Jonnagiri in Kurnool district. We have brought oxygen to a state that was on a ventilator. Together, we must make Andhra Pradesh a model state for the nation.

The Chief Minister alleged that while the government is pursuing development, opposition forces are attempting to create obstacles."We completed the Handri-Neeva project within 100 days and brought water to Kuppam. We will complete the Kalyani Dam project and ensure water connectivity from Srisailam to Tirupati. The previous government desecrated the sanctity of Tirumala by allowing irregularities in prasadam preparation, hurting the sentiments of devotees.

The NDA's objective is to deliver justice to the people and ensure holistic development.Google, Cognizant and TCS are coming to Visakhapatnam, while Amaravati is emerging as a Quantum Valley. 'We want industries, jobs and opportunities for our youth, and therefore we are also focusing on skill development. We corrected arbitrary district reorganizations and created Markapuram, Madanapalle and Polavaram districts. We repealed the Land Titling Act and initiated a re-survey process to resolve land disputes. We are undertaking a comprehensive purification of land records and have resolved decades-old disputes in places such as Shettipalli village. We abolished the garbage tax and are removing inefficiencies from governance. Electricity tariffs have not been increased; in fact, charges were reduced through a true-down mechanism. The government absorbed a burden of Rs 4,668 crore instead of passing it on to consumers.'

The Chief Minister accused the opposition of spreading misinformation and obstructing development."While Andhra Pradesh moves toward the goal of Swarna Andhra 2047, the opposition is trying to pull the state backward. We are making decisions transparently, but they continue to spread false propaganda. The NDA believes in positive politics; the opposition practices poison politics. For us, people come first. Nation and state development are our priorities.Every MLA must remember that they are public servants, not feudal rulers. The people have placed immense trust in the NDA alliance, and we have a clear blueprint for the state's future. We are ready to discuss manifesto implementation with anyone. Every NDA worker stands ready to defend our record. Let us all work with the spirit of 'My Nation, My Responsibility.'
The Chief Minister also announced that the government would work toward implementing 33 percent reservation for women in legislative bodies. The Chief Minister congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing twelve years in office and praised his leadership."The Union Government has consistently supported Andhra Pradesh in key areas such as Polavaram, Amaravati, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and the Railway Zone.Prime Minister Narendra Modi's twelve years in office have laid a strong foundation for India's future and accelerated development across sectors. Because of the people's continued support for him, India is moving forward confidently.Twenty-five crore people have been lifted out of poverty. The country has built 1.46 lakh kilometres of national highways and expanded airport infrastructure significantly.Despite global challenges and conflicts in West Asia, India remains among the countries with the lowest inflation rates due to the Prime Minister's policies.

Several beneficiaries shared their experiences during the event.A young entrepreneur named Usha spoke about the opportunities she received through the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub. Farmer Chandrababu described the benefits of natural farming. Talliki Vandanam beneficiary Pulicherla Nagamma said financial assistance for the education of her five children had been credited to her account and that the coalition government had also provided her a house. The event featured presentations highlighting welfare initiatives, industrial investments, region-wise development achievements and support received from the Union Government.

Videos also showcased the efforts of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Minister Nara Lokesh toward realizing the vision of Swarna Andhra.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, BJP State President P.V.N. Madhav, Minister Nara Lokesh, Union Ministers Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu and Dr. Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, Ministers, MLAs, public representatives and large numbers of people participated.
