CID arrests wanted fugitive Hyderabad, Oct 17 (INN): The Interpol wing of Crime Investigation Department of Andhra Pradesh on Monday arrested a wanted fugitive who was involved in cases of murder and attempt to murder in United Kingdom.
According to officials, the CID Interpol Andhra Pradesh received a request from the CBI Interpol regarding execution of an international arrest warrant against Mohammed Ali Ege, a British National against whom a Red Corner Notice was issued, as he was an accused of murder of one Aamar Siddiqui in Cardiff, UK in April 2010 and an attempt to Murder case in United Kingdom. He later on escaped to Hyderabad.
The CID Team was on the lookout and in the process arrested one Nassor Ali younger brother of the fugitive Mohammed Ali Ege. During search, it seized documents including an Indian Passport which were fraudulently obtained to give an impression that they are Indian nationals. The said fugitive with pseudo name travelled to several countries across the world.
To hoodwink- police Mohd. Ali Ege adopted different alias names like Abdul Mallik, Abdul Jabbar, Mohd Abdul Kareem. Similarly Nassor Ali also adopted different cover names as Abdul Kareem, Abdul Razak Khalifa. The said Nassor Ali was arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
Mohd. Ali Ege originally a British National obtained a British Passport with date of birth as 21/10/1977 from UK which is totally different from those mentioned in the seized documents.
The Cardiff Magistrate Court in UK issued a warrant of arrest against him. In pursuance of the CBI Interpol directions the CID Team apprehended the wanted accused on Monday evening.
