One held for illegal storage of fire crackers Hyderabad, Oct 22 (INN): The City Police seized huge quantity of fire crackers that were illegally stores in a house at Rikabgunj here on Saturday.
According to police, the North and South Zone teams of Commissioner's Task Force, conducted raid on Friday on the house of one Dilip Kumar Agarwal at Rikabgunj, and unearthed illegal storage of fire crackers in his house. The seized fire crackers were worth Rs. 5 Lakh.
Police say that the accused Dilip Kumar Agarwal obtained license to erect his stall at Quli Qutub Shah Stadium. In order to do huge business he procured huge quantity of fire-crackers although he was accorded license for a limited quantity. Further, in violation of rules, he stored huge stock at his residence posing a serious threat to entire residential area.
The City Police has appealed to the general public that if they notice any such illegal storage points of fire crackers in the residential localities without valid permission or license, they may intimate about the same to the nearest Police Station for taking necessary action to avoid any fire accident.
