Student held for selling pirated DVDs Hyderabad, Nov 1 (INN): The South Zone team of the Commissioner's Task Force has arrested a student, Jakka Sandeep, for selling pirated DVDs of new movies.
According to police, on receipt of credible information, the accused Sandeep was arrested and as many as 162 pirated DVDs of films including RA-One, 7th Sense, Osaravilli, Dookudu and other movies was seized from his possession.
On Enquiry, Sandeep told the police that he was working for another person G Gopal Reddy for the last 3 months.They said Gopal Reddy downloaded the new movies from various internet cafes and converted them into DVDs and used to sell them at higher price. Efforts are on to apprehend the main accused Gopal Reddy, police said.
The arrested accused and seized property were handed over to Madannapet Police Station for further investigation.
