CPI asks APIIC to return Emaar lands Hyderabad, Nov 22 (INN): The Communist Party of India State Secretary K Narayana on Tuesday demanded that the State Government return the lands to victims of Emaar Company.
Talking to media persons after staging a dharna before the office of Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation at Basheerbagh, Narayana alleged that the Emaar management had sold away the 90 acres of farm lands without the knowledge of farmers and in the name of benami people.
In the wake of allegations against the Emaar management and the Central Bureau of Investigation probe, he said that the government should hand over the lands to victims and do justice to the victims.
Narayana said that the victims would move the court if the government fails to act on their demand. He said that the CPI would take intensify agitation if the government do not return the lands. The CPI leaders also submitted a memorandum to APIIC Chairman Shivarama Subrahmanyam in this regard.
