Five commit suicide in separate cases Hyderabad, Nov 23 (INN): In separate cases, five people including a woman committed suicide for different reasons.
A 30-year-old auto-driver committed suicide by setting himself ablaze in front of his wife's parents' house due to domestic disputes.
According to Jeedimetla police, the deceased - U Prabhakar performed two marriages about seven years ago. However, about two years ago his first wife Sujatha left him along with their two children to her parents' home due to domestic disputes.
Since then Prabhakar used to remain upset and tried in vain to bring back Sujatha. However, on November 21, he went to her parents' house in Jeedimetla and set himself ablaze by pouring kerosene. He was immediately rushed to Gandhi Hospital where he succumbed on Tuesday night.
In a similar case, 40-year-old R Narayana Rao committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling fan at his residence in Narapalli in the Ghatkesar police limits on Wednesday.
He was reportedly suffering from stomach pain for the last 10 years and following domestic disputes, his wife left him on November 18. He is believed to have resorted to the extreme step due to ill-health and family problems. Further investigations are on.
In another case, B Bhagyalaxmi, 25, of Shankarnagar, died of burn injuries that she suffered on November 15 after setting herself ablaze in inebriated condition.
She was undergoing treatment at the Gandhi Hospital where she died on Wednesday morning. The reasons that led her to suicide are yet to be ascertained, Ghatkesar police said.
In a separate case, 21-year-old K Sanotsh Kumar committed suicide by consuming acid at his residence in V Rama Rao Nagar in the Sanathnagar police station limits.
He took the extreme step on Tuesday while he was alone in the house. He started screaming after consuming the acid and the neighbours who rushed to the spot immediately shifted him to a private hospital where he died on Wednesday. Sanathnagar police are investigating the case.
In another incident, 28-year-old Pavan Patyar of GK Colony in Neredmet committed suicide by consuming some unknown poison. Police suspect that financial problems could be the reason that led him to take the extreme step.
