Youth commits suicide Hyderabad, Nov 24 (INN): Marrying a minor girl proved too costly for a 20-year-old youth. First he landed in jail and later, due to depression committed suicide.
According to police, Shaik Mahmood, a native of Khammam, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling fan at his rented house at Uppal here on Thursday.
Mahmood was in love with a minor girl whom he married a few months ago. However, on a complaint filed by girl's parents, he was arrested and sent to jail.
After his release he shifted to Hyderabad and was living in a rented house in Uppal. He was said to be in depression and the same is believed to have led Mahmood to take the extreme step. Uppal police is investigating the case.
