20-yr-old girl killed in road accident
Hyderabad, Nov 26 (INN): A pillion-rider girl died on the spot while the rider sustained serious injuries when they were hit by a speeding lorry.
The incident occurred near Khairtabad on Friday night. According to Saifabad police, the deceased Parveena, 20, a resident of Borabanda, missed her bus for Chennai at the KPHB.
On being told by the tour operator that she could catch the bus at Lakdikapul, her friend Krishna took her on his bike and proceeded towards the Lakdikapul.
However, at Khairtabad, they were hit by a speeding lorry. While Parveena died on the spot, Krishna suffered serious injuries and was later shifted to the Osmania General Hospital for treatment. Saifabad police registered a case against the lorry driver.
