Student among three killed in road accidents Hyderabad, Dec 1 (INN): A 34-year-old pedestrian died on the spot after he was hit by a speeding lorry near Chintal Bus Depot in the wee hours of Thursday.
The Jeedimetla police later identified the deceased as Yadigir, a resident of Alladarg in Medak district. He met with the accident while crossing the road. Police registered a case of rash driving against the lorry driver who is said to be absconding.
In a separate case, 10-year-old Neha suffered grievous injuries after she was hit by a speeding motor-cyle while crossing the road near Saroornagar on Wednesday evening.
She was immediately rushed to hospital where she was declared dead on admission. Neha, a resident of Nilgajguda, was studying in fourth class in a private school and met with the accident while returning home from school.
In another case, 20-year-old Praveen Kumar of Mylaram died of injuries that he suffered after the auto-rickshaw that he was travelling was hit by a DCM van on Manchal Road November 29. He was undergoing treatment at the Osmania General Hospital where he died on Thursday.
