Mother killed son fearing her illicit relationship exposed
Hyderabad, Dec 8 (INN): Narsingi police on Thursday arrested a 22-year-old woman on the charges of killing her own son.
According to police, a four-year-old boy with a serious head injury was found lying unconscious near Gandhamguda in Narsingi on December 2. He was first shifted to a nearby hospital and then to the Niloufer Hospital where the boy succumbed on Dec 6.
Meanwhile, the boy was identified as Bonta Kartik and his father B Mohan was a resident of Gandhamguda.
Investigations by the police revealed that Kartik was murdered by his own mother Lavanya. She was allegedly having an extra-marital affair with a person identified as Mohd Farooq.
Since Kartik has seen Lavanya with Farooq in an objectionable position, they feared that he might reveal the same to his father Mohan and decided to kill him.
They hit him on the head with an iron rod. The boy fell unconscious and they thought that he was dead. Later, they abandoned Kartik at an isolated place and fled from the scene.
On Thursday, police took both Lavanya and Farooq into custody on the charges of murder.
