'Republic Ride' on January 26 Hyderabad, Dec 12 (INN): Over five thousand riders drawn from 50 leading corporate houses will be seen in action at the Republic Ride-2012, the country's biggest corporate cycling event, to be held at the Gachibowli Stadium on January 26.
Conducted under the joint auspices of Hyderabad Visitors Convention Bureau (HCVB) and Atlanta Foundation, the fourth edition of the event, is attracting the best of cyclists from the corporate sector, including head honchos.
Got up to commemorate the Republic Day, Republic Run will have competitions in various distance categories, including 5km, 10km, 50 and 100kms.
According to the organisers, the socially-driven run is aimed at spreading awareness about several issues besides rendering humanitarian causes.
The Foundation extends financial assistance to the Government Primary School in Anjaiah Nagar and Ashray Akruti, which supports hearing impaired children.
