Society Exhibition at Hitex from Dec 17 Hyderabad, Dec 14 (INN): It is back with its annual tryst with the twin cities. The hugely popular Society Collection, keeping date with its Christmas and New Year celebrations, returns to the city with its latest edition.
An amalgamation of the finest of mesmerizing creative outpourings, the Collection has come to be reckoned as a catalyst for Indian creativity, both ethnic and avant-garde, for the sheer finesse of the products.
The products handpicked from the nook and corner of the country are decidedly of proven standards because only one hundred selected applications are allowed to participate there by symbolizing the innate quest to promote India's rich creative expression in its full flow.
The eagerly awaited Society Collection, the annual sojourn from the stables of Magna Publishing Company Limited, will have its exhibition-cum-sale of arts and crafts at Novotel (HIIC) from December 17-20.
As per their established custom, the Collection is showcased in the premier cities and discerning markets, including Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad and New Delhi. Hyderabad provides the season-ending climax to the national tour.
Having carved a niche for itself because of the vibrantly rich collection of hand-picked crafts, artifacts, arts created with dexterity by artisans from far-flung regions like Bastar, Assam, Kalpi, Chittorgarh, Dahod, Kutch, Puducherry and of course from Jaipur, Orissa, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh.
According to the organisers, the vibrant range of exclusive products on display during the four-day extravaganza includes traditional and Indo-western design wear, traditional and contemporary jewellery, tribal handicrafts, pottery and terracotta, sculptures and idols, paintings, gem-stone paintings, murals, stained glass, jute, crystal, wooden frames and carvings, carvings et al.
