OU-JAC to observe 'Telangana Betrayal Day' on Dec 23
Hyderabad, Dec 15 (INN): The Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee on Thursday called upon Telangana people and students' unions to observe December 23 as 'Telangana Betrayal Day' across the region to mark the second anniversary of Centre reversing its statement on Telangana state on Dec 9, 2009.
OU-JAC leader Shankar exhorted the people and students' associations to stage rallies and dharnas across the Telangana region on Dec 23.
He also asked the people to exercise their votes in favour of those Telangana leaders, who resigned for the cause of separate statehood, in the upcoming by-elections and ensure their victory.
Shankar said the students JAC would campaign against the Congress and Telugu Desam Party in the by-elections.
