Two labourers drown in mill's water tank Hyderabad, Dec 16 (INN): Two contract labourers were drowned while trying to clean a water tank in a private oil mill in Maheshwaram police station limits.
The incident happened late Thursday when Laxman, 20, and Balaji, 22, entered a 12-feet tank in Sarevala Oil Mill to check the water supply.
When they did not come out even after two hours, the other workers checked the water tank and found them dead. Their bodies were retrieved and police was informed about the incident.
While Balaji was from Karnataka, Laxman hailed from Maharashtra. Police say that they joined the mill about 20 days ago. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
