Three including two women commit suicide Hyderabad, Dec 25 (INN): In separate cases, three persons including two women committed suicide due to different reasons.
A 28-year-old auto-driver, Mohd Razack, succumbed to the injuries that he suffered after setting himself ablaze.
According to Rein Bazar police Razack, a resident of Imam Bada, was a habitual drunkard and was facing financial problems.
On December 23, he asked his wife Asma Begum for her gold necklace which he planned to mortgage to clear his debts.
When she refused to give the necklace, he poured kerosene on his body and set himself ablaze.
He was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where he died on Sunday morning.
In another incident, 50-year-old Renuka succumbed to the burn injuries that she suffered after setting herself ablaze.
According to Afzalgunj police, Renuka, a sweeper, was facing financial problems after she was abandoned by her husband Madhusudan a few months ago.
She took the extreme on December 22 at her residence in Gowliguda and succumbed to burn injuries late Saturday.
In another case, Maniamma, 29, of Tukkuguda, who had set herself on fire on December 21, died at the OGH late Saturday.
She was suffering from ill-health and the same is believed to have led her to commit suicide, Pahadishareef police said.
