Police chief suspends four cops for corruption Hyderabad, Feb 6 (INN): City Police Commissioner AK Khan on Monday suspended one inspector and three constables on the charges of corruption.
The commissioner suspended Goshamahal Traffic inspector D Upender Reddy, constables - V Anjaneyulu attached to Goshamahal Traffic PS, M A Mateen of Falaknuma Traffic PS and G Naraisaiah of Malakpet Traffic PS.
Inspector Upendra Reddy was suspended on the charges of indirectly abetting corruption of his staff and failure to perform duties. Similarly, the constables were suspended for issuing fake tickets by charging Rs 500 from lorry drivers every month.
The commissioner has also directed the suspended policemen not to leave the city without permission. He also warned that severe action would be taken against the policemen if they indulge in any kind of corruption.
