Man stabs paramour, brother to death Hyderabad: A woman and her elder brother were allegedly stabbed to death by her paramour in the early hours of Wednesday at Lakshminarasimha Nagar locality of Yousufguda in Banjara Hills police station limits.
According to the police, the accused Mastan aka Srinivas worked as a driver. He had developed illicit relationship with one Prabhavati, 27, living near his house in Lakshminarasimha Nagar, as she was staying away from her husband Venkateswarlu following some disputes.
The woman was living with her mother Koteswaramma and brother 27-year-old Kiran. She has a son by her husband. The family, native of Kandukur in Prakasam district, had come to Hyderabad a year ago in search of work, police said.
Differences cropped up between Prabhavati and Mastan in the recent past and they had a heated argument on Tuesday.
The accused arrived at Prabhavati's house at around 7 am on Wednesday and picked up a quarrel. Suddenly he pulled out a knife and stabbed her to death. He then stabbed Kiran when the latter tried to save his sister.
The injured was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.
The victims' mother Koteswaramma lodged a complaint with the police. Banjara Hills police have registered a case and launched investigations.
