Govt to spend Rs 641 Cr on MMTS Phase-II Hyderabad, March 12 (INN): The Multi-Modal Transport System (MMTS) services would soon be extended under Phase-II in the Hyderabad.
Replying to a question raised by MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi and others during Question Hour in the State Legislative Assembly, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister M Maheedhar Reddy said that the estimated cost of the project would be Rs 641 crore.
An amount of Rs 25 crore has been provided for the financial year 2011-12 and an amount of Rs 12.50 crore has been released, he said.
Further, the minister said that an amount of Rs 25 crore ha been provided for the financial year 2012-13. However, the Ministry of Railways was yet to communicate its approval for starting MMTS Phase-II.
