Falaknuma to Medchal travel becomes easier, cheap Hyderabad, March 24 (INN): Travelling between the Falaknuma in the Old City and Medcal on the city's outskirts have now become easier and cheaper.
The South Central Railway will run DEMU train services between Falaknuma-Medchal from Sunday. This train will run on all days of the week except on Saturdays and will run for four trips in a day.
These trains will have eight coaches with a carrying capacity of around 750 passengers per train. The fare per passenger between Falaknuma and Medchal is Rs 7. per passenger.
According to the SCR, Train No 77681 Falaknuma-Medchal DEMU Passenger will depart Falaknuma at 08.35 am and 2.20 pm and arrive Medchal at 10.05 am and 04.15 pm. Similarly, Train No 77682 Medchal-Falaknuma DEMU Passenger will depart Medchal at 10.30 am and 04.45 pm and arrive Falaknuma at 11.50 am and 06.05 pm on the same day.
Enroute these trains will stop at all stations. The train will have eight coaches including two motor cars.
Speaking after flagging off the train at Falaknuma Railway Station here on Saturday, Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi said that the new train services would connect the two distant parts of city and would be helpful for the commuters.
He hoped that the new services would ensure a safe, comfortable and cheaper transportation, especially catering to the poor masses of the society.
Speaking on the occasion, Divisional Railway Manager Margoob Hussain said that the train was much sought after and would help the commuters to travel without having to get down at Secunderabad to commute further up to Medchal. He said that better amenities have been provided for the passengers.
Malakpet MLA Ahmed Balala and senior officials of the South Central Railway also participated in the flagging off ceremony.
