Govt admits of encroachment of prime land at Nagole Hyderabad, March 28 (INN): The State Government on Wednesday admitted that a prime land situated between Nagole and Uppal has been encroached upon.
In his reply to a question raised by MLAs D Sudheer Reddy and Kuna Srisailam Goud in the State Legislative Assembly, Revenue Minister N Raghuveera Reddy said that an extent of 406 sq yards, in Sy No 588/1 of Uppal Khalsa village, has been encroached by P Mohan Rao and got it registered.
He said there were no encroachments in T Sy No 45. In Sy No 60, out of 6.07 acres, an extent of 3.0 acres has been encroached.
The minister said that the encroacher P Mohan Rao also got a 'status quo' order from the State High Court on Sy No 588/1.
Necessary action is being taken for vacation of High Court order, he said. Similarly, in Sy No 60 of Saidabad mandal, the encroachers have approached the Supreme Court of India against the orders of Andhra Pradesh High Court which was in favour of government and got 'status quo' orders. The government has already filed counters in the case.
However, the minister denied the allegation the certain officials have colluded with encroachers and amassed crores of rupees by converting the said land into plots and by selling them.
