Junior artiste among 7 held for violence
HYDERABAD: The Special Investigation Team (SIT), Central Crime Station on Friday arrested seven persons, including a junior Tollywood artiste in connection with the recent communal riots in Madannapet and Saidabad police stations limits.
According to the police, the seven persons were involved in damaging RTC buses and stone pelting in Kanchanbagh and Saidabad.
The accused - Pulikanti Suresh alias Suresh, an auto driver, Vattikoti Anjaneyulu alias Anji, electrician and Injamuri Bala Krishna alias Bali, a junior artiste, damaged an RTC bus at Chamapet cross roads and also furniture in Prince Wooden Shop and Meena Caf' Hotel.
The accused N Ramesh Chinna alias Chinna, Akbar Khan alias Akbar, auto driver, Javed Khan alias Javed and Mohammed Ali were involved in pelting stones and damaging bus at Malakpet.
