Servant maid held for theft of Rs 35 lakhs gold
HYDERABAD: The Jubilee Hills police on Wednesday arrested a maid servant for theft and seized gold ornaments, diamond ear tops and a diamond pendant, all worth about Rs 35 lakh from her possession.
Police received a complaint from one L Swapnika Reddy, a resident of Jubilee Hills on May 5 stating that her jewellery was found missing from her house.
Suspecting the role of servant maid Sridevi in the theft, the victim lodged a complaint with the police.
Based on the complaint, police started investigation and arrested the accused from her residence and seized the stolen property-- valuables worth Rs 35 lakh -- from her.
