Rave party organisers are absconding HYDERABAD: Police found that the organisers of the rave party, busted at Swagruha Resort in Piglipuram village on Friday night, had not obtained permit from the Prohibition and Excise department.
They also suspect presence of some influential people, believed to be sons of police officers and businessmen, at the party, who, might have escaped during the raid.
Hayathnagar police said the party was hosted by a trader in cement, D V Narayana Reddy from Krishnalanka in Vijayawada.
"The organisers are supposed to secure an event permit for consuming liquor at parties held in resorts but the event manager, Akthar Mamoo, had not sought any permit. Mamoo and resort owner, PS Reddy, are absconding.
Police had seized 16 vehicles, including a BMW and two Volkswagens, that would be surrendered before a court on Monday.
Police suspect more than 50 people attended the party and some of them fled leaving their vehicles. A case under Prohibition and Excise Act along with Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act was booked against Mamoo, police said.
