NATA honors Nobel nominee Dr. M.S. Reddy at Houston

Houston, June 29: Dr. Malireddy Srinivasulu Reddy (M.S. Reddy), a 2012 Nobel Peace Prize Nominee, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contributions to business and technology here on Friday.
NATA President presented the award recognizing 'his pioneering work on the highly scientific biotechnology-based cultures and ingredients, which has had a profound impact on improving the dairy and food technology-based products-worldwide.'
NATA presented a Lifetime Achieve Award in Business to his wife Syama Reddy for her entrepreneur excellence. The NATA convention audience gave a standing ovation to the Reddy couple for bringing such laurels and pride to the entire Telugu community.
In December 2011, he has been conferred the title 'Nobel Billionaire' as the culmination of his highest scientific knowledge (Saraswathi puthrudu) and creating such big wealth (Laxmi puthrudu).
This is a rare combination in the entire world, said Dr. Samba Reddy, an Associate Professor & Principal Investigator at Texas A&M University Health Science Center, USA.
The NATA Awards banquet was attended by Telugu-American philanthropists Dr. Malla Reddy, and Dr. Prem Reddy, NATA advisors, the BODs, regional vice-presidents, committee chairs, organizers and over 1500 prominent Telugu community members from all over the U.S.
Dr. M.S. Reddy currently serves as Chairman and President of USA based American Dairy and Food Consulting Laboratories, and International Media and Cultures with twelve manufacturing facilities in eight states.
He is from Uppalapadu, Nellore District in Andhra Pradesh, and eldest son of M. Jala Reddy and Shankaramma. He has received his B.V.Sc. degree from AP Agricultural University, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in food technology, bacteriology and virology, from Iowa State University, U.S.A. with honors and distinctions.
He has received over 100 national and international awards and honors from all over the world. Among the notable are: Richard M. Hoyt memorial award from the American Dairy Science Association, Outstanding Young Alumnus Recognition award from the Iowa State University, Sigma‐Xi Research award, Outstanding Scientist award from IAFC, Washington, D.C., 2003, 2004 and 2005, Outstanding Businessman of the year award, and prestigious U.S. President Ronald Regan Gold Medal award at Washington, D.C.
Dr. Reddy holds over 150 U.S. and international patents and has published over 70 scientific articles and has written several popular books, including A to Z of success.
He is one of the leading authorities in the world in applied microbiology as it relates to dairy foods, probiotics, and pollution mitigation. Over 100 of his company's patented high tech products are used in commerce all over the world.
He has not only built a billion dollar Business Empire but also helped to improve the world economy by increasing food production, reducing food spoilage and food prices, through significant scientific inventions.
Dr. Reddy has contributed over one trillion dollars to the world economy through his lifetime involvement in the business and research.
He has served as a technical consultant to over 70 national and international companies all over the world and also serves on the Committee of Complementary Alternative Medicine Division of AAPI.
Dr. Reddy gave over 300 motivational, technical, and medical lectures, at his own cost, to improve the optimism all over the world, to uplift the communities and to curb poverty, hunger and disease.
For all his lifetime achievements he was nominated, in good standing, for the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize.
Mrs. Syama Reddy received B.Sc. degree from S.V. University, and B.S. degree from Iowa State University.
She serves as Chairman and President of Reddy Properties, a real estate holding company with properties in 10 states in U.S. and elsewhere in the world, and Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of the American Dairy and Food Consulting Laboratories, Inc. and International Media and Cultures Inc., which she owns along with her husband, Dr. M.S. Reddy.
She was born in Nellore to Dr. D.R.K. Reddy and Kamala. The Reddy couple started working together, right after college graduation, to build a massive U.S. and international business empire.
Syama Reddy received several national and international business awards. To name few: Entrepreneur of the year award in 2002; Mercurial Business Woman of the year in 2003 from IAFC at Washington, DC; Entrepreneur Leadership award in 2002, from 'Asian Woman in Business' organization of USA.
Syama Reddy was the first person to receive this prestigious international award representing the entire Indian woman in the world; Elected as 'NRI' of the year in 2003; Outstanding 'NRI Woman' Award in 2005.
She received Hind Rattan Award from the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, in 2005, at Hyderabad, India; International Entrepreneur of the year award in 2003; In 2006, she has received Bharath Gaurav Award at Delhi from the Prime Minister of India.
She has served as Board of Director of ATA for over 12 years and she is currently the Board of Director of NATA. Syama Reddy is an excellent administrator, and also outstanding at financial management.
Her specialty is banking and worked with 100's of U.S. and International banks. She serves as board of director for several companies and organizations.
She has been recognized as a world class business leader and a great philanthropist, and strives hard to uplift the underprivileged. With all her achievements and worldwide recognition, she is humble and very well-liked by everybody in the community.
The NATA and Telugu community congratulated the couple for 'Lifetime Achievement Award'.
