Teenage girl's murder mystery solved HYDERABAD: Cyberabad police cracked the mystery behind the murder of class X girl, K Vihaari, and nabbed two persons on Tuesday. The 16-year-old victim was a student of Rao's High School at Kukatpally and she was found missing from her house on June 9.
Two days later, a missing complaint was lodged and Kukatpally police began investigation. On June 18, Vihaari's body was found in Amber Cheruvu at Pragati Nagar. She was tied to a granite stone with a rope and chunni and her body was dumped in the lake.
KPHB police collected information about the persons who moved closely with the girl and finally nabbed two persons.
Police claimed that the duo confessed to have killed the girl. The duo -- Chakali Prasad (22) of Maithrinagar in Kukatpally and S Siva Prasad (20) of Nizampet -- are car drivers.
'The duo told police that they knew Vihaari well and that Chakali Prasad even had intimate relationship with her. When she pressed Prasad to marry her, he hatched a plan to kill her with help of Siva Prasad,' Kukatpally police inspector K Srinivasa Rao said.
As per their plan, on June 9, they took Vihaari in a car to Chegunta in Medak district. Siva drove the vehicle while Prasad sat in the back seat along with Vihaari and they had a quarrel over the marriage issue.
'Prasad tied Vihaari with her chunni and sexually assaulted her in the moving vehicle. Later, they stopped the car on the outskirts of Chegunta and killed her.
They brought the body to Pragathi Nagar and on the way, they collected a granite stone and a rope. They tied the stone to Vihaari's body with the chunni and a rope and dumped the body in the lake,' the inspector said.
