Techie held for posting obscene photos HYDERABAD: Cyber Crime police on Friday arrested a 24-year-old techie for posting obscene photographs of a girl, also an IT professional, on networking sites. They also recovered a laptop, an internet data card, a mobile phone and a SIM card from him.
According to police, a young girl, working as a software professional, had lodged a complaint stating that she was being harassed by someone who had hacked her ID and was sending obscene emails and morphed images to her friends and relatives.
The accused had also created fake IDs after her name. It caused a deep mental agony to the victim.
Following a technical investigation, the accused, Makam Naga Vamsi Krishna (24), was traced in Bangalore and was arrested from his native place, Kurnool.
The accused confessed that he bore a grudge against the victim as she had refused his proposal of marriage. They were friends during their project work.
The accused was produced before court and sent to judicial remand,'' said U Rammohan Rao, SP, cyber crimes.
