Five techies from Hyderabad killed in US car accident Oklahoma City: Five youth belongs to Hyderabad are dead after a deadly accident at the junction of I-35 and I-40 in Oklahoma City. Around 1 a.m. on August 10th, 2012.
Around 1 a.m. Friday, a Chevorlet Camaro carrying five people was traveling southbound on Interstate 235.
As the car tried to merge onto the ramp toward southbound I-35, the driver lost control. The Camaro flew off the road and onto the southbound ramp from I-40 to I-35.
The car slammed into the back of a semi-truck, and went under the trailer. The top of the car was sheared off. The car then spun off the road and burst into flames.
All five people inside the Camaro were ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol shut down traffic in the area for several hours while they investigated the fatal crash. Right now, troopers are not sure what caused the deadly collision.
'As far as any intoxicants, that's all still under investigation," said Trooper Joey McLaughlin. "There is no evidence of it right now. It is pretty unclear the causation of them departing the road to the left.'
The car slid underneath the semi, went down an embankment and burst into flames.
According to their friends; Jaswanth Reddy Subbayyagari, Phanindra Gade, Anurag Anthati, Srinivas Ravi and Venkat were the people killed in the accident.
All of these people are from Hyderabad. Among the killed, only Venkat is married. All of them are software professionals.

TEAM Square volunteers Srikanth Rava, Rajasekhar Bheemireddy and Ravi Mallapuram are helping TANA TEAM Square in making arrangements to send the deceased to India.
Prasad Thotakura, TANA President spoke with the Oklahoma City's medical examiner, Funeral Home in Dallas, and the Consul General on India (Houston) office and making all the needed arrangements to send the bodies to India from Dallas, TX.
TANA expresses deepest condolences to the families and friends of these young people.
