Constable run over by car
HYDERABAD: The Kandukur police took one person into custody in connection with a road accident. The vehicle of the accused hit a parked Innova car hired by the Uppal police, leaving one constable dead on the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Sivakumar and the accused is Ch. Srinivas, owner of the Innova car.
The accident took place in Kundukur on Sunday. Police said, six policemen were returning from Kalvakurthy after completing a probe into a murder case when the vehicle got punctured. While changing the tyre another Innova hit the police car from back side and Sivakumar died on the spot.
