BSNL extends re-connection Mela till Sept 15 Hyderabad, September 4 (INN): The BSNL AP Telecom Circle has decided to extend the re-connection Mela upto September 15 in all Customer Service Centres.
Addressing a press conference, Chief General Manager V Srinivasan informed that more than 26,000 customers have availed reconnection facility while more than 65,000 customers have subscribed for various new services including 40,000 mobile customers.
In view of the huge response, he said that the BSNL has decided to extend the re-connection Mela. He said requested that all those customers to avail the opportunity for getting re-connection.
Customers can pay the outstanding dues up to Rs 3,000 in five monthly installments and up to 10 installments for outstanding amount more than Rs 3,000.
Srinivasan informed that the BSNL was planning to install 800 cell phone towers in the city addition to the existing 3,000 towers in the next four to six months.
He said that the estimated cost for installation of new towers would be around Rs 600 crore. He said all the towers in the city would be equipped with most modern ZT technology.
